  • Are You Setting Luminary Goals?

    Are You Setting Luminary Goals?

Or Are You Waiting for a Divine Assignment?

Before I get into today’s note, it may be best that you take a huge deep breath.

    Go ahead, breathe.

So, are you setting luminary goals?  OR are You still waiting for your divine assignment?

    Really think about this.

I had a wonderful “after party” in the green room of my Empire Building Hangout today.

And one of the women who is an artist and a healer admitted that the reason she was struggling with crafting her offer (aka, deciding what service to sell)  was that she felt like she was waiting for her next divine assignment. She confessed that not having an offer and not knowing what service she should offer her clients was pretty much stopping her in her tracks. Interestingly enough, she is brilliant at helping other people access new levels of health and awareness, but she was waiting on a sign from the universe that would direct her and tell her what to do.

Can you relate to this?  I know I can.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve caught myself waiting for some divine assignment on my Luminary Path.  There seems to be an epidemic of highly gifted luminaries waiting… and waiting… and waiting…

Take another deep breath, you might need it.

The divine assignment that you are waiting for the universe to give you, will come from you.  Yes, you read that right.  You are the divine assignment giver!   You knew that intellectually, maybe even spiritually, but have you really thought about that when it comes to setting goals and offering your services?  Are you still waiting for God or the Universe to tell you what you “should” do?

    Ok, you can breathe now.

There is a huge difference that setting luminary goals makes as opposed to waiting for an assignment.  The difference is taking responsibility for your life instead of passing on the responsibility to someone else.   Here is where it gets real.

    What are Luminary Goals?

Luminary goals are goals made consciously from the awareness of your own divinity.  Deep. They are heart felts goals from the core of your being.  Luminary goals are goals made from conscious choice that you are the decision maker of what you want to do, not what you ‘should’ do.

Are you starting to feel the difference?

Until you take responsibility for your decisions and your own divine power, you are always going to wait…  and wait… and wait.

Setting Luminary Goals Makes Your Life Easier

Luminary goals help you see your own light while you are traveling The Luminary Path.  When you know who you are, and you own your gifts and abilities, life becomes so much easier.  You stop making excuses as to why you can’t do what you want to do in your business and you  start trusting yourself as a powerful co-creator with the Source of all creation.

It really is a magical way to build your business.

Let me know what you think.

Share what you appreciate about yourself below. Three times a year I do a Sacred Art of Self-Appreciation Challenge during Mercury Retrograde. It is a great way for you to practice self-appreciation while being witnessed by others in a group.

  • How to Create Ease and Peace of Mind

How to Create Ease and Peace of Mind

How to Create Ease and Peace of Mind in Your Business.

Having the right mindset contributes to at least 80% of the success or failure in business.

We think that because we are growing a business it has to be hard work.  However I’ve found that when you are expressing your gifts and talents through your work, sharing your authentic value with clients, and you are receiving value in the form of profits, your work becomes so natural that it energizes you.

We view business from a very limited perspective and our ideas of business usually come from the entrepreneurs that surround us, or even our mentors.  We look at someone’s thriving business and we think, “My God! That looks incredibly hard!   There is no way I can do have a business like theirs.” or we think it has to be complicated.

In truth most businesses started with one simple idea.  One simple a-ha moment where an entrepreneur thinks, “I really love this _____!”  I think can make money doing this.

Here are a few tips to help you create ease and peace of mind while you are building and running your business:

    • Start out with the intention to allow building your business to be simple and easy.
    • Ease and peace of mind comes from knowing that you and your business are connected.  (you are one!)
    • Since you are your business are one, your business can guide you!
    • Follow your intuition and inner guidance along the way and create your business from a deep connection to Infinite Intelligence, God, Source, from your DNA (your Divine Natural Alignment)
    • Know where you are going.  I am not a fan of goals however I am a big fan of creating a vision for your business.
    • Practice breathing.  A lot.  Sometimes we hold our breaths and hope for the best, and that is not good for our bodies.  Learn to breathe deeply and appreciate yourself for being in the game of life instead of watching from the side lines.  Breathing is a powerful tool when you are mastering peace of mind and creating ease in your business.

  • How Do You Break The Cycle Of Negative Thought Patterns?

How Do You Break The Cycle Of Negative Thought Patterns?

I have a friend who is very, let’s say, “consciously negative”.

He is aware that he has negative thoughts and has years of low self-esteem to support his negativity.  The good news is he wants to change.

Recently he asked, “Dawn, what can I do to break the cycle of negative thought patterns? There has to be a way out.  I thought I was doing pretty good, thinking positively about my future, but my results still look the same!  Is there any hope for me?”

    There is!

I believe in people.  I have to.  I have seen people who I thought would never wake up, walk through their deepest fears and create amazing lives for themselves and I have seen people who I thought would surely conquer the world, sit back and do… nothing.

Here is the a key to overcoming tough obstacles.  It doesn’t matter whether I believe in you or not!  It only matters whether you believe in you!

The first key to overcoming negative patterns of thought is to understand that it is OK. People have negative thoughts.  What is more harmful than negative thoughts is negative emotions.  So give yourself a break, especially when you start your journey.  It is ok to feel.  When a negative thought or a negative emotion becomes a habit, then you may need some help transmuting the negative into positive thoughts, beliefs and emotions.

Ok, second, believe you can think differently.

So.. are you willing to think differently?

Do you believe you can think differently?

Then that is all you need to start!  A belief in yourself and a healthy shot of tequila!

Just joking!  No alcohol is needed to overcome the obstacle of negative thought patterns, however you will want to celebrate those little wins.

Start to give yourself credit for responding to situations differently than you have in the past.    Notice the changes in how you feel and pay attention to how your thinking changes and celebrate the success of your mind!

Third, the real secret to transmuting the negative to the positive lies in how you respond when you notice you are in a negative state.  A “state” is when your mind and emotions are synced to the same frequency of thought.  A negative state is when your mind and emotions are synced to a negative frequency of thought.   Transmuting negative states to positive states happens in the moment you are aware of the negative state you are in and you consciously choose to be in a positive state.  You are going to want to get out a pencil  and write this one down:  HOW you treat yourself while transmuting this energy sets your attraction point.

I spent years mastering transmutation of states from one state to another, by beating myself up for feeling the negative emotions.  I thought something was completely wrong with me and this was so far from the truth.  You can manifest lots of external stuff through changing your state through force, however you will discover just how amazing your are when you learn to appreciate all of you, the negative and the positive in the moments when you are transmuting your negative thoughts to positive thoughts.

Maybe now is the time to break out the bubbly!  Personally, I don’t drink, but I love sparkling grape juice to celebrate the many opportunities to appreciate myself while breaking new layers of doubt, worry, or even indecision.

I’d love to hear how you break the cycle of negative thoughts!   Just take a minute and post your tip below!

  • Are You Tuned Into the Flow of Abundance in Your Business?

Are You Tuned Into the Flow of Abundance in Your Business?

Do you experience the flow of abundance in your business?

Abundance is all there is! Are you in tuned to the flow of abundance in your life? How about in your business?

At this very moment, you are either experiencing an Abundance of prosperity and supply or an Abundance of lack.

    Which is it for you?

I was working with a client recently who asked me how I come up with so many different ideas that help businesses of various shapes and sizes prosper so easily, and I explained,  “I tune into the abundant flow of ideas that are already out there waiting for someone to take the idea and run with it.  I tune into abundance.”

Then I asked her where in her business she would like to benefit from tuning into abundance.  She laughed and said,  “I’d like to tune into an abundance of referrals so I won’t have to work so hard finding new clients!”

Until she was consciously aware of what she wanted she was unconsciously tuning into it’s opposite- she was tuning into the abundant of lack of referrals instead of the abundant flow of referrals who were excited and ready to work with her.

The same is true for you in your business.  Where in your business would you like to benefit from tuning into abundance?

You’re either experiencing an abundant supply of clients or an abundant of lack of clients.

You are either experiencing an abundant supply of referrals and new ideas or an abundant lack of referrals and new ideas.

    Which is it for you?

When you begin to think in terms of abundance as all there is, you begin to think entirely on a new plane of awareness about what is possible for you and your business.   You begin to see that you have a choice in what you focus on in your business.

The moment you tune into the abundant supply of what you want in your business, your intuition and imagination will begin to give you ideas and plans on how to harvest the supply.    All you have to do if follow the plan and take inspired action to create a tidal wave of prosperity in your business whenever you want it.

Remember, you can have an abundance of headaches, struggles, and stresses in your business OR you can have an abundance of freedom, ease and joy in growing a truly amazing business that serves more and more people every day.

    The choice is yours!

I’d love to hear your stories, leave a comment below and share your experiences how you tune into the abundant supply of prosperity in your business!

    Until next time,

  • How Gratitude Can Help Your Bottom Line

How Gratitude Can Help Your Bottom Line

Quite frankly it took a long time for me to really understand and appreciate gratitude for it’s power and simplicity.  I have come to know gratitude as the most powerful feeling you can possibly experience and when I went beyond simply feeling grateful for the things in my life and really started to add gratitude as a part of my business everything changed.

If someone would have told me that gratitude is something that I could turn on at will, or that it was a choice, I might have thought they were crazy!

You see, I thought that in order to feel grateful for anything in life, the people, circumstances and situations around me needed to change… THEN I could feel grateful.  I didn’t realize it was something that I could choose.  When I got this straight in my mind and I started to use gratitude as a tool to see the value in every area of my life, not just the money in the bank, the way I conducted business began to shift from wondering where the next client was going to come from to having an steady stream of referral business.  Now, I’m not saying I’m an expert on gratitude, or that I get it right every time.  I certainly don’t.  But I do make gratitude a priority.  Those circumstances and situations that weren’t so agreeable in the past began to take new form.  The true magic was happening inside of me.  The outside world didn’t change however how I felt about the ebb and flow of life and business did change when I decided to be grateful for all of it!

When I was a teen, my grandmother would send me stationary and packages of thank you cards regularly.  I think she was trying to tell me something!  And to tell you the truth, the only time I used them was to send my grandmother a Thank You card for the Thank You cards!  I was such a results oriented person that I just couldn’t connect with how gratitude could be something that would make any difference in my life.

It seemed so simple to me that the results are revealed in the numbers, but relationships are not built on numbers.  They are built on connection.   And it is the connection we have with people that creates the results!  The relationships we nurture in our business DO create and increase our numbers.

Don’t take my word for it.  This is something you’ll have to experience for yourself, if you are willing.

Not only has gratitude given me a new sense of freedom over my emotions, it has also given me freedom in my business and in my numbers, and for that I am forever grateful.

Gratitude is an emotion that keeps you connected to where you are, where you’ve been, and where you are going.  It keeps you connected to yourself, your friends and family, and to the source of all creation!

I still have to remind myself to use the Thank You Cards that I buy, it is not easy for me to remember, however I make it a priority.

I’d love to hear how you attract more business with gratitude.

Until next time, BE grateful, think BIG, Take Inspired Action, and Enjoy the Journey!

  • 3 Fears that Stop You From Winning in Business

3 Fears that Stop You From Winning in Business

Do you know the cause of success and failure in YOUR business?

Most entrepreneurs don’t realize that there are hidden fears keeping them from the success they want. Learn  to recognize these three fears when they arrive so you can take courageous action immediately.

Which of these fears keep you from winning in business?

    1.  The Fear of Failure/Success

The fear of failure and the fear of success have the same symptoms.  You know you suffer from either, if you start many projects and never seem to complete anything! You set goals and can’t seem to move yourself into action. Shift your focus from you and to the good you are providing the world through your product or service.  Complete the projects you start, and try focusing on growth instead of goals.

    2.  The Fear of Poverty

Fear of poverty shows up when you work alone, you rarely seek outside help. You may feel like there just isn’t enough time, or money to go around.  Also you could feel like there is not enough of YOU to go around.

Learning to practice abundance consciousness helps calm the fear of poverty.  Practice using affirmations.

“There is enough time to do all that needs to be done.”

“There is enough money to invest in things that will help my business grow.” And hire competent people to help you when you need it.

Try these affirmation starters: I am enough to…,  I know enough to…, I attract enough to….

    3.  The Fear of Criticism

And finally, the fear of criticism manifests as the inability to make a decision.   This is sometimes masked by the need to constantly bedoing something.  If this sounds like you, stop what you are doing. Then mindfully ask yourself, “What decision am I avoiding making right now?”

Use the “5 Steps to Making Winning Decision” in a previous video and follow up with action!

Don’t let the fear of failure, poverty, or criticism stop you from winning in business or in life!

  • 7 Tips to Discover Your Divine Gifts

7 Tips to Discover Your Divine Gifts

You’d be surprised how many people still don’t know what their divine gifts are, or that they even have gifts!

Our gifts are a part of us, some we come into the world with, like the gift of innocence, and some we discover over time, like leadership, wealth generating, or strategic thinking. Your gifts are a part of you. They are a part of a larger divine seed that was given to you by the divine creator for you to share with others, but they are so close we oftentimes over look them as unimportant, or consider them tabu, as is the case of people with the gift of clairvoyance, or prophecy who are afraid to share their gifts for fear of what others may say.

  • The Gift of Jerry Hicks

    The Gift of Jerry Hicks

Today, I learned from Joe Vitale that Jerry Hicks passed.

Jerry will be missed by me and many of you who study the law of attraction.

I am sharing Joe’s blog post so you can read more.. The Gift of Jerry Hicks.

For me, I am blessed to have learned so much from Jerry though I’ve never met him properly.   We both loved Think and Grow Rich and had more and more questions after reading it.   Jerry found answers through Esther and Abraham and so did I.  Cheers to Jerry for being such a persistent seeker.

Thanks Joe for sharing your story as well.

  • 7 Signs Your Teen is Destined to be an Entrepreneur

7 Signs Your Teen is Destined to be an Entrepreneur

How to tell if your teen is an entrepreneur in the making

You may be a parent who is concerned by some of the behaviors of your teen.   Recently, I’ve heard more than one parent express their ‘concern’ for their teens ‘unmotivated’ behaviors.

Some of these concerns I recognize as “tale tale signs” that their teen might be an entrepreneur in the making.     So, for fun I decided to come up with a list of “7 Signs Your Teen is Destined to be an Entrepreneur.”

“7 Signs Your Teen is Destined to be an Entrepreneur”

     1.  They stay up late cramming for a test the night before they take it.

    2.  They refuse to be told what to do.

    3.  They value their personal freedom over all else.

    4.  They don’t accept no for an answer.

    5.  If they temporarily accept “no” for an answer it is only because they have moved on to figuring out how to get the answer they want on their own.

    6.  You rarely hear them ask for help.

    7.  They are determined to live their life the way they want.

I am sure there are plenty of other signs that your teen is destined to be an entrepreneur, and some of these signs won’t actually help them once they become an entrepreneur.  But parents, there may be hope for your sons or daughters who seem disconnected from the rest their family and especially authority figures.   They may be preparing themselves to think for themselves, which IS a vital ingredient to being a successful entrepreneur in any field!

  • The Myth of Hard Work

    The Myth of Hard Work

There is a Myth of Hard Work…that it is HARD!

The Myth of Hard Work keeps people from pursuing their dreams and living the life they desire and can easily have.

    Hard Work Quotes:

“I’m a great believer in luck,
and I find the harder I work,
the more I have of it.”
    –Thomas Jefferson.

CombineMy grandfather was a farmer and when I was growing up I remember him waking up early in the morning to take care of something that needed done on the farm.    When people think of farming they think hard work, extensive labor, and the life of hardship. Thinking back on my grandfather, I can’t say I ever saw him engaged in what anyone would consider “hard work”.   I loved to follow my grandfather around as he did his farm work.   He took me and my brother to the dairy barn, the granary, and occasionally we visited the pigs.     I remember when they delivered his new combine.   It was the largest piece of farm equipment I had ever seen, the tires where bigger than I was!   And I remember the look in my grandfather’s eyes when he showed it to us.   It was the same look that I had waking up on Christmas morning to see a new toy underneath the Christmas tree.   My grandfather managed a 600 acre farm, and to him it was child’s play.

That’s the myth of hard work.  When you’re doing something you really love, you wake up early in the morning to do it, not because you have to, but because there is nothing else in the world that you would rather do. When you’re doing something effortlessly, enthusiastically, and you make it look like child’s play, you can rest assured that you have connected to your life’s purpose and what might seem like hard work to others, is not hard work at all.

    It really is child’s play.
