  • 5 Steps to Making Decisions in Business

5 Steps to Making Decisions in Business

When you are made a decision to build a business you began a process of attraction.  Most people think that just because they made a decision to build a business, they will attract clients who want to throw money at them.

    Wishful thinking!

What actually happens when you make a decision, is you begin to attract opportunities.   Your decision to grow a business, make money, find more love, really when you make any decision about anything in your life, you begin to attract an abundance of opportunities that lead you to the next step towards manifesting what you want.

    And that is GOOD!

But how do you make a luminary decision and discern the difference between an opportunity for growth and an opportunity to stay on the hamster wheel of frustration and overwhelm?

Years ago I had a conversation with a client who felt called to become a public speaker.  At the time of our conversation he was already highly skilled and passionate about speaking and his income from speaking wasn’t quiet enough to quit his day job.  His desire to answer the call to become a public speaker put him in a high vibrational state where he was attracting a lot of opportunities and he was having a hard time making a decision about which opportunity to say yes to, if any.    I think at the time he had 3 firm opportunities in front of him all of which would have been great in some way, but they were all pointing in slightly different directions.  I don’t remember the details exactly, but two were different job opportunities to work for two different non-profit organizations, both would allow him to travel and speak.   The other was a higher paying job that would allow him to use his leadership skills more, but didn’t include any public speaking. He told me how frustrated and overwhelmed he was trying to decide which opportunity to say yes too.  He was feeling a lot of pressure to decide.  He told me, “I don’t want to make the wrong decision and I’m afraid that if I don’t make a decision now the opportunities will pass.”

After I explained that he can’t make the wrong decision because all opportunities come from Source and all opportunities are for his personal expansion, so they all lead to something pretty amazing, we were able to look at the opportunities individually.  I also explained that the direction the opportunity will flow is set based on our vibrational state at the time we make the decision.  Decisions made from a place of fear will attract more to fear.  Decisions made from the point of view of scarcity will attract more scarcity.  Decisions made from a place of expansion and possibility and trust, will lead to more expansion, possibility and trust.  That is how the law of attraction works.  Our ability to choose is our most powerful superpower.

I shared this five step decision making process that can really help you line up your energy with Source so you can make an empowered choice and feel confident in your choice:

    Step One:  Identify the Opportunity.

Go through the opportunities in front of you one at a time.  With this client, I had him list each opportunity and look at each one individually to see where his energy was most aligned.  I encouraged him to list everything he knew about each opportunity.

Step Two:  Ask yourself “ Do I WANT to do this?”

When I asked my client, “Do you want to do this?” He said yes to each of the opportunities except the one where he would make more money and not have opportunities to speak.  I didn’t cross it off the list yet as I wasn’t 100% sure he was saying no to it from a vibration of abundance.

Step Three: Ask Yourself, “Do I feel guided, or called to say yes to this opportunity?”

This is the most powerful question, especially for luminary leaders who are experienced in knowing how they really feel.  An opportunity that will get you closer to your calling and your life purpose, will have sort of a pull of attraction that goes beyond mental reasoning.  Your body will feel like it is magnetically attracted to the opportunity, as if it were actually calling you forward through an invisible force.  For this client, he felt called to one of the non-profit positions that required him to speak to large groups of people.

Step Four: Ask Yourself, “Does this opportunity add more life to everyone involved?”

This question should be an easy one to answer, however there are a lot of coaches, mentors, and leaders who are operating out of integrity with themselves.  Divine opportunities that are truly designed to move you closer to or expand your life’s work will add more life to everyone involved.  The person who is bringing you the opportunity will be increased, your family will be increased, you will be increased, and any 3rd parties will be increased by a divine opportunity.  If the opportunity is one where you feel you are getting something for nothing then check in with your guidance or ask the person bringing the opportunity to you what do they expect to gain from the opportunity.  Listen to your heart.  Alignment will be easy if the opportunity is something where everyone is increased by your decision.  In the case of my client, one of the non-profit positions felt like the opportunity was given to him from out of a scarcity mindset where he would not be valued as much as he would be at the other non-profit position.

Step Five: Ask Yourself, “Does this opportunity violate the rights of others? Does it take away their right to choose?  Will anyone be harmed?”

This is another question that should really go without question.   None of the opportunities took away anyone’s right to choose, nor did they harm anyone, or violate their rights, however the question did create an opening for him to talk to his wife more openly about what the opportunity he felt called to take might mean for them as a family.  Thankfully he was skilled in authentically sharing what he really wanted with his wife and she was will him so they were able to both participate in the decision making process even though in the end it really was my client’s choice.

In the end, my client chose one of the non-profit positions and he traveled and spoke to about 50 audiences in one year.  He started being invited to speak to other audiences and now he makes his living as a full time public speaker.

  • It’s Not All Unicorns And Rainbows

It’s Not All Unicorns And Rainbows

I appreciate the support I’m getting for the work of self-appreciation.  This week I was interviewed by a friend, and Star Power activator, Dena Crowder. Dena is just one of the many points of light that are on my luminary path helping me get the word out about self-appreciation and shining light on how revolutionary this simple tool really is.

In the interview Dena pointed out that, “It’s not all unicorns and rainbows.”

Doing the work of self-appreciation requires an honest look at ourselves and appreciating who we really are.  Not the person that someone else wants us to be, nor the person we ‘think’ we should be, but appreciating the person we are right now.

It’s not always easy appreciating ourselves.  We are so invested in the idea of hard work and beating ourselves up for not getting it right that it is hard to stop judging ourselves and see the gift we are to the world.

Self-appreciation helps us connect to our inner power to be our evolutionary Self.

For those of us that are committed to our own personal evolution and the evolution of others, self-appreciation is more than a nice idea, it is a requirement.

Here is a 21 minute recorded interview by Dena Crowder that she shared with her Soul Star community, let me know what a-ha’s, experiences, or insights you have about the work of self-appreciation.

  • Let Appreciation Lead The Way

    Let Appreciation Lead The Way

I’ve been feeling a bit stuck in writing my blog posts and my newsletters over the past few weeks.   Something new is emerging and I’ve been hesitant to pause and ask,  “What is it?”

I’m not the only one experiencing some resistance to sharing their wisdom through writing lately, it seems like things are evolving so fast that our work is having a hard time keeping up with us.

The truth is that when we are struggling to share our wisdom, feeling overwhelmed by massive inner expansion, or simply dissatisfied with what we are putting out there, rest assured something more is wanting to emerge.

    IMG_2731

“Self-appreciation helps you connect with what wants to emerge.”

I appreciate the spiritual truth that everything on the outside is a mirror image of what is going on in the inside.  So when one of my SASA (Sacred Art of Self-Appreciation) group members shared so authentically that she was “Pressing the Pause Button” for a day or two on her blog,  I knew it was time for me to take a look at what was going on inside of me.

    “What wants to emerge?”

I appreciate how some questions just don’t want to be answered until we explore what we really want.  “So, what do I really want from writing this post? ..any post?”    That is the deeper question that wants answered.  Hmm…

What do I want from writing?

I really want to communicate from my heart.  I want to share what is going on in my world, in my life and in my business with as much authenticity and transparency as I can access through writing.   I know that if I share what I’m experiencing on my luminary path, especially the emotional highs and lows, I can help but to be of deeper service to you and your purpose.

I want you to know who I am through sharing what I appreciate about my life and my business and how I use self-appreciation to navigate the waves of emotions that come up as I grow and expand in the work I’m called to do.

What I don’t want to do is be a know-it-all advice giver who follows a formula for blogging that has no heart, no intention to help, and no real life experience to share.

Part of my frustration with blogging is that most of the blogs I see are written without depth or authenticity.  And if that is the bar I’m setting for myself, well, I have a lot to learn or relearn.

Sharing my stuckness about writing is helping me, and I’d be holding back if I didn’t let you know that I still catch myself comparing myself and my writing to other luminary bloggers.  It creates a feeling of pressure in me that needs a release through action.  In the past I might have put a competitive hat on and moved into massive thought based action,  or I would have ignored the pressure all together and done nothing.

Neither option leads to conscious action, which is what I’m most after these days.  My deepest desire is to know myself more consciously through my thoughts, my feelings and through my actions.   I want to discover the depths of my divine desires and I want to move with easy and effortless action in that direction.   I want to always be in the dance of self-discovery and self-expansion.

So, as I’m thinking about it, feeling what is coming up, and doing my best to upgrade my writing, my inner guidance is reminding me to let appreciation lead the way.

  • How To Overcome The Fear Of Writing

How To Overcome The Fear Of Writing

I remember being so afraid of words and writing.   Communicating what was on my mind felt like wrestling tigers.  No joke!

I studied engineering in college so I wouldn’t have to write, or speak.  When I started creating my first website back in 1999, I added content to it daily.  Mostly lists, and resources for high school girls, not so much writing.  I didn’t force myself to create, I wanted to added value.  I looked for ways I could help my site’s visitors have resources they needed.  This was pre-google.

I didn’t sit down with a to-do list and say, this is what I’m going to do today.  I just sat down and did something… daily.

I forgot how effortless it was to create from that space.

My point is that as I wrote a sentence or two to introduce the list or the resources I was sharing, I WAS writing and the more I wrote the more confidence I had to write more.  At first just a sentence, then a paragraph, and when people started to email me and ask me questions, I wrote them back.  At the time I wasn’t making any money from that website, however I was practicing writing by doing it.  And I was learning a lot about website development, which is what I was doing to make money at the time.   And the more I practiced writing the more confident I was to share more of my thoughts and opinions.

I realized that people really don’t care if I misspell a word, or if they have to read a sentence two or three time to understand what I am saying.   They care that I care about them and what they go through.

I’m an author now, and doubts still bubble up around my ability to write well, however when I bring my attention back to me and the value I can add, and away from other people I may be comapring myself to, it is so much easier to write.

My fear of writing faded the more I wrote and my doubts fade the more I focus on the value I’m adding.

I see my value in the world and I enjoy sharing that value with my empire.

Focus on how you can help your empire and begin writing from that aligned space within you.   Most importantly, Share!  Share your opinions, your thoughts, your ideas.  Give people a view of your depth, not just something you heard someone else say.  Allow yourself to be seen through your writing, this is the path of the luminary.

  • Stop Trying To Figure This Out

Stop Trying To Figure This Out

Dearest Luminary Entrepreneur,  The hardest thing you’ll ever do is to stop trying to fix it. (whatever “it” is.) There is nothing to fix, or figure out. Your expansion and alignment come from being at peace with where you are. Feel yourself feel those feelings. Transmute the thoughts of “I should be farther along than this!” to “Look how far I’ve come!”

Please, stop trying to figure out what is wrong with you. There is NOTHING wrong with you. I appreciate you. The only work you need to do is appreciate yourself. And when the ego says, “I could never do that!” That is when you dive deep and learn to appreciate yourself the most. In ALL of my years of learning, praying, growing, studying, mastering the mind, writing, then teaching, and training, and coaching, and speaking, and creating, NOTHING has made as big of an impact on my life than the work of self-appreciation. This is not just true for me, it is true for the people I’ve shared the sacred art of self-appreciation with. You can’t own your greatness until you accept and appreciate yourself where you are.

There is a lot of talk about ‘gratitude,’ however I’ve found that gratitude misses the mark for me and I practed gratitude (still do to some extent) consistently for 10 years. Gratitude says, “Thanks for being in my life. I like having you here.” Appreciation says, “I see the VALUE in your presence in my life. I get you. You increase who I am.” Discovering the value of yourself is the work of self-appreciation. You don’t see it all at once, however when you practice appreciating yourself daily, through writing, sharing with others how you appreciate yourself, you release all of the “shoulds” in your life and you find your authentic desires. The law of desire sets in an you can’t help but grow with more ease and grace. You have more faith in your direction, a clearer mind, an open heart, and you become aware that everything you’ve been looking for is right there inside of you all the time.

I hear you asking for help to find what is broken in you. The only thing that is broken is your ability to love and appreciate yourself.

You think your abilty to manifest is broken? No, just your ability to appreciate yourself. You think your confidence is broken? No, just your ability to authentically appreciate yourself. You think your relationship is broken? No, just your ability to appreciate yourself. You think your finances are broken? Appreciate yourself!   YOU are your point of attraction. YOU are the center of YOUR universe. YOU are the light you seek. YOU are not and never have been broken.

I know there is nothing I can do to convince you that BIG changes come from this simple practice. You just have to try it for yourself. And let me know how the work of self-appreciation works for you.

  • Are You A Visionary or Luminary Leader?

Are You A Visionary or Luminary Leader?

Are you a visionary leader or a luminary leader?

When the idea came to me to write a post about the difference between a visionary leader and a luminary leader, I wasn’t sure I knew the difference.  I even posted the image I made for this post on Facebook days before writing the actual post, with a question, “Which are you?”

I was hoping that people would raise their hand and identify themselves as luminary or visionary before reading the article.  Instead I only got a few bites. The over all consensus was that no one really knew the difference.   Which is why I was inspired to look at the difference between visionary and luminary leaders in the first place.

Here is how I interpret the difference.

Visionary Leaders Paint a Picture of Possibility

mandelaNelson Mandela had a vision to see the end of apartheid in South Africa.   His vision lead to persistent action and incredible endurance to seeing his vision manifest.

Visionary leaders paint a picture of what they envision is possible for the world, a community, or a project.  They seem to have an ability to speak in words that activate all 5 senses.  The image they share inspires other people to join them in taking action to see the vision manifest.  Visionary leaders are all about the VISION.

Here is what Lisa Petrilli, author of The Introvert’s Guide to Success, says on her website about Martin Luther King, Jr. and his visionary leadership,

“He had an exquisitely clear vision and expressed it magnificently in his, “I Have a Dream” speech.  While his goals may have included various steps along the way to passing civil rights legislation, his vision was so much bigger than his goals.  His vision described exactly what it looked like when the real impact of his goals were felt, including famously…

‘I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.’

    Now that is a vision!

ecstantonMy favorite historical women, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B Anthony, had a vision that women would one day be able to vote alongside men.  (Vision)  40 years after both of them had died, women were granted that right.  Sometimes being a visionary means you are responsible for painting an image so clear that it can be carried out by the next generation.

    Luminary Leaders Light the Way

Google’s online definition of a luminary is, “a person who inspires or influences others, especially one prominent in a particular sphere.”

I like to look at Luminary Leader more literally, a body that gives off light.  To me a Luminary leader is one that embodies light so much that they light the path for others.  They show you what is possible because they embody their beliefs.  They may be one step ahead of you on the path or they may be miles ahead leaving sign posts for you along the way.

mothertMother Teresa, wasn’t casting a vision and expecting others to follow her.   She was lighting the way and embodying the light she wanted others to share.  She devoted her life to helping the outcast and impoverished in the streets of Calcutta have someone to care for them in life and in death.  Even when she knew what she wanted to do, she had no idea how to go about doing it.   And somehow she illuminated the way for others to follow.

Carista Luminare, and Lion Goodman, co-founders of the Luminary Leadership Institute, claim that luminary leaders:

    1. Harness the powers of their True Self
    2. Embody their noble virtues
    3. Fulfill their soul’s destiny

A luminary leader then embodies as much power and light as possible to fulfill their soul’s destiny or calling.  Being a luminary leader takes a lot of self-reflection and self-growth.

So Are You A Visionary Leader Or A Luminary Leader?

For most leaders, mentors, and coaches, we move in and out of both roles.  Sometimes we are a visionary leader with a clear vision of the possibilities we see, and sometimes we are fulfilling our soul’s destiny by lighting the way for others.

One of my favorite ways to serve my coaching clients is seeing the vision of possibility for them.  I’m really good at this.  Seeing the vision for myself is a bit trickier so I ask my mentors to help me see the possibilities for me and my business.   Learning to ask for help in this way, is not always easy for leaders, coaches and mentors.  We are ‘supposed’ to be able to use our gifts and talents to help ourselves, right?  Not always.  Ask for help if you are having a hard time seeing the possibilities.

I have a vision of a world where every girl is free do the work she loves, be in any role she wishes, and have anything her heart desires.   I believe that the more I do the work I love and embody the roles I wish to fill and have anything my heart desires, the more I’ll be able to light the way of freedom for others.

What is your vision?  What path are you lighting?

  • Are You Setting Luminary Goals?

    Are You Setting Luminary Goals?

Or Are You Waiting for a Divine Assignment?

Before I get into today’s note, it may be best that you take a huge deep breath.

    Go ahead, breathe.

So, are you setting luminary goals?  OR are You still waiting for your divine assignment?

    Really think about this.

I had a wonderful “after party” in the green room of my Empire Building Hangout today.

And one of the women who is an artist and a healer admitted that the reason she was struggling with crafting her offer (aka, deciding what service to sell)  was that she felt like she was waiting for her next divine assignment. She confessed that not having an offer and not knowing what service she should offer her clients was pretty much stopping her in her tracks. Interestingly enough, she is brilliant at helping other people access new levels of health and awareness, but she was waiting on a sign from the universe that would direct her and tell her what to do.

Can you relate to this?  I know I can.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve caught myself waiting for some divine assignment on my Luminary Path.  There seems to be an epidemic of highly gifted luminaries waiting… and waiting… and waiting…

Take another deep breath, you might need it.

The divine assignment that you are waiting for the universe to give you, will come from you.  Yes, you read that right.  You are the divine assignment giver!   You knew that intellectually, maybe even spiritually, but have you really thought about that when it comes to setting goals and offering your services?  Are you still waiting for God or the Universe to tell you what you “should” do?

    Ok, you can breathe now.

There is a huge difference that setting luminary goals makes as opposed to waiting for an assignment.  The difference is taking responsibility for your life instead of passing on the responsibility to someone else.   Here is where it gets real.

    What are Luminary Goals?

Luminary goals are goals made consciously from the awareness of your own divinity.  Deep. They are heart felts goals from the core of your being.  Luminary goals are goals made from conscious choice that you are the decision maker of what you want to do, not what you ‘should’ do.

Are you starting to feel the difference?

Until you take responsibility for your decisions and your own divine power, you are always going to wait…  and wait… and wait.

Setting Luminary Goals Makes Your Life Easier

Luminary goals help you see your own light while you are traveling The Luminary Path.  When you know who you are, and you own your gifts and abilities, life becomes so much easier.  You stop making excuses as to why you can’t do what you want to do in your business and you  start trusting yourself as a powerful co-creator with the Source of all creation.

It really is a magical way to build your business.

Let me know what you think.

Share what you appreciate about yourself below. Three times a year I do a Sacred Art of Self-Appreciation Challenge during Mercury Retrograde. It is a great way for you to practice self-appreciation while being witnessed by others in a group.

  • How to Cure Marketing Madness and Create Marketing Magic

How to Cure Marketing Madness and Create Marketing Magic

Are you a victim of Marketing Madness?

Marketing madness is a disease that causes coaches to run around madly, chasing the next big marketing idea or marketing tool, and never really stand still long enough to appreciate the clients they already have in their business. I’ve been there.  There is no shame in admitting it.

How to Cure Marketing Madness and Create Marketing Magic

When you suffer from marketing madness, it is intense.   You see a great new marketing tool that promises more clients, more money, less time and you buy into it because you really do need those things.   So you invest your time and money into learning how to use the tool until you realize that you need another tool to make that tool work more effectively and you invest in that and learn how to use that tool until you realize…. you get the picture.  You may even follow a few different marketers to learn their secrets.

I’ve done this so many times over the years, that I should have been arrested several times for inappropriate use of time and money in my business.

Marketing Madness is a SYMPTOM of Something Much More Serious

When you find yourself chasing some new tool that promises to give you a solution of more money, more clients, less time, try to understand you are not really CHASING anything.  The truth is you are running away from something much bigger.  You are running away from YOU.  You are running away from discovering the heart of your business.   Marketing Madness keeps us from going deeper with our clients, discovering who they really are, and what really keeps them up at night.  Marketing Madness is a disease that keeps you from the heart of what business is all about, connecting and communicating your value to people who deeply understand and desire the solutions you offer.

Simply speaking,  Marketing Madness is a symptom of a subconscious fear of failure or fear of success.   Fear of failure and fear of success are simply 2 sides of the same coin.  The Coin called “Not Knowing Who You Are.”   Not knowing who you are manifests as chasing or hiding, sometimes both.

    I Understand, I’ve Been There.

    "Hiding" by Jacky Gerritsen
    “Hiding” by Jacky Gerritsen

We make life so much harder on ourselves than it has to be.   Now when I get a sense that I’m struggling in any area of life, I ask myself, “How am I boxed in by the “Should’s” of others?”

This is really big for me.  I like to learn from people who are the best in their industry.  And when I’m learning from them, I watch how they run their business.  I pay attention to the tools they are using to grow their business and I pay attention to how they market.  And I emulate.   If they said, “Send a 3-2-1 email.”  I’d send it.   If they suggested speaking, I’d speak.   “Buy this new teleseminar tool”, I’d buy it!  “Go with this email service”, that is who I’d choose.  However, when I’ve done this in the past, it created A LOT of internal pressure.  I was doing everything I thought I should do and I the internal pressure to do more only grew!

Like I shared this week in my newsletter, “The more I did, the more it was expected that I could do things for other people or in a way that was more suitable for others.  No matter what I did, I felt pressure and the only way the pressure would go away was to do more.  I was completely burnt out from the pressure to succeed and more importantly the pressure to fulfill the expectations of my family, my mentors, society, the coaching industry, you get the picture. ”

    Take a Break

This year I took a break from a lot of things that intensified the pressure.  You can see the short list here.  These two posts are about the same thing, stopping the madness of external pressure to succeed and reconnecting to your true essence and gifts.  It has been a long journey learning who I am in a way that feels authentic and not boxed in by the should’s of Business and Marketing.

I wouldn’t suggest taking a break when you are just starting out, I’d suggest starting out right. However if you have been in business for over 3 years and you haven’t figured out how to stop the pressure of Marketing Madness and start creating Marketing Magic, here are a few things that work for me to create Marketing Magic in your luminary business.

Connect to Who You REALLY Are

It seems like most coaches lose themselves to the disease of “Marketing Madness” when they start to market.  I know did.  It was fun for a while showing up with my marketing mindset on and totally forgetting who I was.  I learned a lot about marketing over the years, but I am not a marketer, I am a coach and a luminary leader.  Sometimes I’d forget to market my services because I was sharing the newest marketing tool.  I doubt that anyone else had Marketing Madness as bad as I did.   It was very confusing for my market and they just didn’t know how to refer me.  Was I a marketer, or was I a business and life coach?  Who knew!

Now when I find myself suffering from Marketing Madness, I ask myself, “Am I am marketer, or am I a highly gifted luminary leader who gets to joyfully market her programs?”

I am a gifted luminary leader!

    Deeply Connect with Your Community

Let them know you are vulnerable to the same BS (Belief Systems) they are subject to.  And share stories of how you overcame the obstacle to get what they want.  Don’t be afraid to go deep and then go deeper.

When my mentors told me to share my story, I thought, “I don’t have a story.”  So I’d share other people’s stories.  I shared the successes of my clients.  The problem was I didn’t always share their struggles.   I was simply thrilled to share the happy upside of working with me, and I love sharing my client’s successes.  That may not be a huge problem except I was creating a connection between my clients and no connection with me.  I may be over exaggerating  a bit here to make a point.   While I was trying to figure out my “branding story,”  I wasn’t appreciating the amazing value of sharing the stories of what is going on with me right now.   And I was missing the heart of my business, which is deeply rewarding connections with my community.   Remember that email I sent out?    I received so many heart felt responses to it, people told me what they were going through.   Those responses gave me an opportunity too know my community more intimately.  Sharing stories of what is currently or recently happening in my life creates deeper connections.

People relate to your vulnerabilities more than your successes.  And if you are being completely honest with yourself, it doesn’t matter how amazing things look, you are growing and growing is all about vulnerability and new experiences.   People want to engage with real people who share their feelings.  They will share their stories with you, when you share yours.

Every story matters.  Everyone at the end of the day wants to know if you saw them and heard them and that they matter.   – Oprah

    Show Them You Care

Make their lives easier for them and show them you care.  I’m committed to creating coaching programs and teaching classes that make life easier for luminaries.  It is hard being a luminary leader.  We have families, we want to travel, we want to connect deeply, and we want our freedom all at the same time.  There are a lot of people who want to help you and there are a lot of things they tell you you “should” do.   It is easy to follow the white rabbit down the marketing tunnel and lose site of what is important, your relationship with their  community- both current and future clients.

Communicate your vulnerabilities and share your solutions while helping your community in as many ways as you can.  If you are launching a new free ebook or report, let your current clients know first and ask them if they have anything they would add.  If they do, and it fits, add it to the ebook.  Be a part of their lives if you can.

Several of my mentors have a policy of not letting their community bother them.   They sit on a throne and act as gurus if you want to talk to them you have to pay lots of money for a short phone call.    This just doesn’t work for me.  I tried it.  I would feel horrible when I was finished, like there was no soul to the work I was doing.   Now I want people to call me if they think they are ready to work with me.  I can help them decide which program is best for them.  They may not be ready to create their own mastermind or activation group, and may benefit from a VIP day, or I might suggest they join my 12 Seeds of Wealth Activation Life Mastery program.    If they are new to coaching or just want a refresher course on the best of personal development, I send them straight to my Women Think and Grow Rich book study course.   I have lots of resources and a quick email or a phone call during normal business hours can really help people connect with the soulution that is best fit for them.  I even share my birthday ritual a week before people’s birthday, if they sign up to get it.  For my community of luminaries, being accessible is an important way I show them I care.  This may change over time, however I really do care about my community of luminaries.  There is a lot of good that we are bringing to the world and there is no reason to struggle in any way.

People need your solutions.  They need to know what you ave to offer.  Your community wants to know that you have products and services to help them with the things they struggle with most.  They really want to know that you care and appreciate them.

    Create Marketing Magic

Be creative!  Creating Marketing Magic is deeply rewarding and it is not as hard as learning how to use a new marketing tool.   If you can think of marketing in the most simplest terms it will help.  Marketing is communicating and sharing how you can help and what you offer to the people you choose to serve.     And how you CHOOSE to communicate to the people you choose to serve will let them know if you care or not, if you understand their pain, and if you have a solution for them.  It really is simple.  Stop doing things you think you should be doing and start connecting more deeply with the people you choose to serve.
