You’d be surprised how many people still don’t know what their divine gifts are, or that they even have gifts!
Our gifts are a part of us, some we come into the world with, like the gift of innocence, and some we discover over time, like leadership, wealth generating, or strategic thinking. Your gifts are a part of you. They are a part of a larger divine seed that was given to you by the divine creator for you to share with others, but they are so close we oftentimes over look them as unimportant, or consider them tabu, as is the case of people with the gift of clairvoyance, or prophecy who are afraid to share their gifts for fear of what others may say.

For me, I am blessed to have learned so much from Jerry though I’ve never met him properly. We both loved Think and Grow Rich and had more and more questions after reading it. Jerry found answers through Esther and Abraham and so did I. Cheers to Jerry for being such a persistent seeker.
How to tell if your teen is an entrepreneur in the making
You may be a parent who is concerned by some of the behaviors of your teen. Recently, I’ve heard more than one parent express their ‘concern’ for their teens ‘unmotivated’ behaviors.
Some of these concerns I recognize as “tale tale signs” that their teen might be an entrepreneur in the making. So, for fun I decided to come up with a list of “7 Signs Your Teen is Destined to be an Entrepreneur.”
“7 Signs Your Teen is Destined to be an Entrepreneur”
1. They stay up late cramming for a test the night before they take it.
2. They refuse to be told what to do.
3. They value their personal freedom over all else.
4. They don’t accept no for an answer.
5. If they temporarily accept “no” for an answer it is only because they have moved on to figuring out how to get the answer they want on their own.
6. You rarely hear them ask for help.
7. They are determined to live their life the way they want.
I am sure there are plenty of other signs that your teen is destined to be an entrepreneur, and some of these signs won’t actually help them once they become an entrepreneur. But parents, there may be hope for your sons or daughters who seem disconnected from the rest their family and especially authority figures. They may be preparing themselves to think for themselves, which IS a vital ingredient to being a successful entrepreneur in any field!
The Myth of Hard Work keeps people from pursuing their dreams and living the life they desire and can easily have.
Hard Work Quotes:
“I’m a great believer in luck,
and I find the harder I work,
the more I have of it.”
–Thomas Jefferson.
My grandfather was a farmer and when I was growing up I remember him waking up early in the morning to take care of something that needed done on the farm. When people think of farming they think hard work, extensive labor, and the life of hardship. Thinking back on my grandfather, I can’t say I ever saw him engaged in what anyone would consider “hard work”. I loved to follow my grandfather around as he did his farm work. He took me and my brother to the dairy barn, the granary, and occasionally we visited the pigs. I remember when they delivered his new combine. It was the largest piece of farm equipment I had ever seen, the tires where bigger than I was! And I remember the look in my grandfather’s eyes when he showed it to us. It was the same look that I had waking up on Christmas morning to see a new toy underneath the Christmas tree. My grandfather managed a 600 acre farm, and to him it was child’s play.
That’s the myth of hard work. When you’re doing something you really love, you wake up early in the morning to do it, not because you have to, but because there is nothing else in the world that you would rather do. When you’re doing something effortlessly, enthusiastically, and you make it look like child’s play, you can rest assured that you have connected to your life’s purpose and what might seem like hard work to others, is not hard work at all.
Have you been asking for clarity about something in your life? Do you just want to know HOW to do something or HOW it will turn out?
Seriously, I am cured of asking for clarity!
I can’t tell you how often I’ve affirmed clarity.. “I write with clarity and purpose.”
“I easily receive clarity about this project.”
“LORD, give me Clarity!”
Well, I am finished!
The moment I heard my minister say,
“You’ve been asking for clarity when you should be asking for trust!” I knew he was talking to me.
Some days are like that, you wake up and you are so aligned that you know everything you hear is a message for you and for your personal growth. Those are the days when I’m aligned with the Divine, aligned with my path and aligned with myself.
Lately, I have to admit, I’ve been…waiting!
Waiting for what?
Waiting for clarity. Clarity for what? Well, EVERYTHING!
It’s not that I really stopped trusting the Divine, trusting myself and trusting my path, because that is not totally true. I do trust that I am tuned in tapped in turned on. However, my focus sort of wanders into the future. And not the kind of wandering that says, “Hey dream big! This is what is possible for you!” It starts with one simple thought of doubt, then another and before I know it I am questioning my direction. “Lord give me clarity!”
Sunday’s message was the one I needed to remind me, “Your course is already set. You have a destination to reach. You only need to trust in yourself and trust in your alignment with the Divine. Just trust.”
I really didn’t get the fullness of that message until I shared it with client, “You are asking for clarity when you should be asking for more trust.”
And I got it.
Think about it.
Clarity is a powerful tool to create or cast a vision of where you want to go. It sets the entire universe into motion to bring you opportunity after opportunity so you can manifest the vision and take the next natural step. Clarity makes everything easier.
Clarity is the opposite of what you want to ask for when you are ON your path.
Asking for clarity is like saying, “Show me HOW I am supposed to do this!”
Here is your gentle reminder for the day, “HOW is not your business!”
Once you create a clear vision of where you are going, the path will show up, one step at a time. Ask for more TRUST, not more clarity. Ask for trust in divine timing. Ask for TRUST that you will be ready for the next step. Ask for TRUST that Grace is leading the way. This is especially important for luminaries who know they are being lead by a vision that is much bigger than they can imagine.
When you trust that the future WILL meet and exceed your wildest dreams, you enter a magical world of hope, possibility, and co-creation at it’s best.
Your path will be shown, but sometimes you have to trust that it will show up while you take the next first step.
Remember the scene where Indiana Jones stepped onto an invisible bridge? He really had to trust that the bridge was going to show up. If I ask for clarity after following my intuition to take the next step, be shown a long winding road that might get me to my dreams eventually. However if I trust that the road is there and I trust in myself and my ability to move forward with my talents and gifts then… I might cross an invisible bridge!
So I won’t be asking for clarity anymore, and if I do, I’ll have this blog post to remind me to ask for trust. I will seek my freedom through trusting myself, trusting my path and trusting my connection to my intuition.
Trusting myself to get to my destination is way more empowering than waiting for clarity.
Have you ever wondered what the Carnegie secret is in Think and Grow Rich?
Napoleon Hill alluded to a hidden secret that Andrew Carnegie shared with him and which is in every chapter of Think and Grow Rich.
Here are some snippets from an email conversation with another coach, “Rick.” (Names changed to protect the innocent 🙂 Rick knew I had been a student and a coach of Napoleon Hill’s work for many years.
He asked the question, “What is the Carnegie Secret?”
I hope that our email correspondence will shed light or possibly start conversation and discussion on the topic… “What is the Carnegie Secret in Think and Grow Rich?”
The email went like this…
Rick: In Think and Grow Rich Napoleon Hill states.. “when you are ready for the secret, it will appear in every chapter” something like that. Have you ever figured out what that secret is?
Dawn: “The last person who asked me that question has disappeared and is guessed to be on his, “round the world” adventure trip that he created for himself…
How about you? Have you found “the Carnegie secret” in Think and Grow Rich?
Rick: “LOL The Secret in Think and Grow Rich, I have not found, but when I watched Bob Proctor’s “You Were Born Rich” video he states that the secret is writing a goal on a card and carrying it around with you everyday and looking at it.
What do you think?”
Dawn: “The goal card was the tool used by Bob as well as many others, however I think it is merely a catalyst for the secret to emerge. I have come to know that a part of the secret is knowing that you are 100% responsible for your life, down the the tiniest result.
There is a difference between thinking you are responsible and knowing (pure belief). The knowing comes from experience and experience from practicing the principles that Napoleon Hill talks about in his books, like seeing yourself in possession and really feeling it as you want it to be. This knowing comes from testing, and trying, and acting with persistence in the direction of your goal.
But there is a hidden secret that even those that ‘know they are 100% responsible for their life’ don’t usually discover until much later in life. That secret has to do with tapping into how you act when you feel you have everything you’ve ever dreamed of having, and how you act when you feel like you are everything you’ve ever dreamed of becoming. Most people don’t know how they’ll act until they have it, but when that gap closes and you feel yourself becoming everything you’ve ever dreamed of becoming, your attitude changes, your whole outlook changes… you begin to live your life as an expression of abundance.
Are you catching on?
Some people get this hidden secret in the first chapter because their life experiences up until that point make it clear that it is true. It is as if their awareness instantly shifts to “pure knowing” and belief that it is true.” It is energy, it is all energy.
“A peculiar thing about this secret is that those who once acquire it and use it find themselves literally swept to success, with what seems to be little effort, and they never again submit to failure! If you doubt this, study the names of those who have used it wherever they have been mentioned, check their records for yourself, and be convinced.
There is no such thing as SOMETHING FOR NOTHING!
The secret to which I refer cannot be had without a price, although the price is far less than its value. It cannot be had at any price by those who are intentionally searching for it. It cannot be given away, and it cannot be purchased for money, for the reason that it comes in two parts. One part is already in possession of those who are ready for it.” Think and Grow Rich – The Author’s Preface
In the Science of Getting Rich, Wallace states that you don’t have to do any practices of magic or affirm anything. He explains that when a desire becomes a burning desire you no longer have to remind yourself about it (as with a card) it is a part of you. Getting to that point can take cards and affirmations and reminders of all sorts for some people. Most people however don’t allow themselves to feel they are worthy of their wildest dreams so they don’t dream them. Or remind themselves of them. They go forgotten, but most likely pushed down and repressed. The hidden secret I’m referring to sort of takes care of that feeling of unworthiness, once you begin to use it. It shifts how you feel about yourself.
Have you discovered what that hidden secret is yet?
We were born rich, and born to dream those big magical dreams about ourselves and our life. We were born to make an impact and to influence those around us. It is how we are wired…for growth and expansion, not just of ourselves, but to enrich the lives of others. We are wired to take risks.
There are people in our lives however who have conditioned us over time to “be practical”, “be safe”, “better not dream big, or you’ll be disappointed,” and worse yet, they have conditioned us not to share our wisdom and our magic with others.
My mentor’s copy of Think and Grow Rich. Powerful vibes!
The winners in life DO dream big, they do take risks and they take responsibility for their results. They TAKE Action in the direction of their dream every day AND they share their wisdom and they help others succeed. It is the law of life; Expansion!
So…What do you think? Do you think you have figured out the Carnegie secret? Or are you dreaming big, and blaming everyone else for why you haven’t manifested your dreams yet? Or are you dreaming big, and helping others dream big too?
Life is Wonderful! Enjoy the journey to your next level of success and always remember…
Appreciate Life, Think Big, Take Inspired Action, And Enjoy the Journey!
May 2023 update:
I recently decided to to look into what Andrew Carnegie had to say about success and found that the Scottish-American industrialist and philanthropist, believed that the secret to success could be summed up in one phrase: “The secret of success lies not in doing your own work but in recognizing the right man to do it.”
Carnegie emphasized the importance of delegation and surrounding oneself with talented individuals who possess the skills and knowledge needed to accomplish specific tasks. He believed that a successful person should focus on their own strengths and leverage the strengths of others to achieve their individual and collective goals.
Carnegie’s philosophy was rooted in the idea that no individual can achieve great success alone. By recognizing and utilizing the abilities of others, one can accomplish far more than they could by themselves. This approach allowed Carnegie to build a vast empire in the steel industry and become one of the wealthiest individuals of his time.
It’s worth noting that while Carnegie’s perspective on delegation was a significant factor in his success, it is just one aspect of his overall philosophy. He also placed importance on hard work, continuous learning, philanthropy, and other principles that contributed to his accomplishments.
The One Question You Need to Ask Yourself Often, “So What Do I Want?”
Life is wonderful! The kids are back in school and my time is truly mine for the first time in 11 years. Up until now, I have been working early mornings, late nights, and have had a few coaching calls during the day when I could count on an hour of peace here and there. Now that I have all this free time, I needed to ask myself this one question before moving forward, “So, what do I want?” For me it is simple, I want to help as many people achieve their goals as possible in the most efficient manner possible. This one question sets my course.
But what happens when you don’t know what you want?
Get busy deciding what you do want! One of the reasons why many people don’t get what they want is because they haven’t defined it. There are so many options out there, it is a wonder we can make up our mind about anything. Many people don’t make up their mind, they let other people decide for them! Don’t let this happen to you, be decisive. Practice making decisions by asking yourself honestly, “What do I want?”
Switch your focus from what you don’t want to what you do want.
Most of the time when people are in a negative state of mind or not feeling up to par, they have been focusing on what they don’t want more than on what they do want. Stop for a moment and ask yourself, “How do I feel?” If you feel good, you are probably focusing on what you want. Congratulations!
If you feel bad, you might want to make a shift and focus on what you want.
Get Clear on What You Want
Getting clear on what you want from life is a process. It requires you to know yourself more deeply than your current understanding. I have included a journaling exercise that should help you get clear on what you want in the major areas of your life, that way, you will know where you are heading and feel good along the way!
EXERCISE: Get your journal or a blank sheet of paper and at the top write “Finances” and draw a line down the middle. At the top of one side write, “I Don’t’ Want” and on the top of the other side write, “I Do Want.” and just write. Write everything that comes to your mind about what you don’t like and about what you do like. When you are finished with it, take your “Don’t Want’s” and turn them into “Do Wants”. For example, if you wrote, “I don’t want to retire broke,” cross it out and write, “I do want to retire financially free.” The goal is to have a long list of things you do want. “I want a net worth of…” “I want to buy a…”
Now that you have done it with your finances, write your wants for your relationships, your environment, your work/career, your service to others, and don’t forget your body.
Spend time getting to know what you want from life and watch in amazement as those things start appearing in your life!
