Are you the captain of your ship?

The other day I received an email forwarded to me from a reader of 7 Keys to Freedom, The Ultimate Guide to Developing the Mind who lives in Bulgaria.   As a part of the pre-publication marketing surveys for the Bulgarian book release in September, the reader was asked to respond to the chapter I wrote on Intuition and here is the response:

“Intuition is the navigation system to the ship of our life – it can lead us easily to the shortest way to reach our goal\destination.

Reason is the captain in charge (of the ship) – he has to rule the ship rudder to the right direction, give orders to the deck-men, and raise the sails.

The wind is the positive inertia, it is a tailwind if we are on the right vibration.  The counter waves, the fog, and the clouds are our paradigms.”

These observations paint a beautiful image to help us understand the role of intuition in our lives.  Intuition is charting the course to any destination we tell it we want to go.  Most people are using their intuition by default.  They are not consciously directing their intuition at all or they are charting a course to a destination that other people say they should go.   Both uses of intuition lead us to unnecessary struggles, and set backs.  Believe me I know!  I strive to use my intuition to direct me to my highest purpose in life.

The use of the ship metaphor touched me personally and gave me a deeper understanding of my life purpose as “the captain of the ship” and how I help my clients (the passengers) get to their destination where they are living the life they are designed to live.

I love how the laws of the universe work to keep evolving in consciousness and appreciation of who we are designed to be.

Share what you appreciate about yourself below. Three times a year I do a Sacred Art of Self-Appreciation Challenge during Mercury Retrograde. It is a great way for you to practice self-appreciation while being witnessed by others in a group.
